Over the long weekend, she went to Gisborne for her 21st and also went to First Light Wine and Food Festival, although the wine, food, music and vibes were absolutely on point - shoutout to our new music obsession, No Cigar! Emma’s best friend tested positive for Covid-19 and although Emma has symptoms she’s only testing negative, YAY! Buuuuuuuttt we’re being extra cautious and working from home this week as Morgan has exciting plans coming up which you’ll see, or will it be a secret we’ll never tell XO Gossip Girl!
Anyway, Welcome back to Monday Mag!
This week we are counting down the days until summer as there are only 52 days to go! Yes, that's right, hot girl summer is just around the corner and we are so excited to get back into our basic bitch white crop top and denim shorts era - but in the meantime, there's nothing better than a little fake tan to boost the ego.
Don't worry, summer is just over the horizon, even with Hamilton's bipolar weather tricking your daily outfit!

Kanye West is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons after he made antisemitic comments on social media. As a result of his behaviour, Adidas dropped Ye as a partner, and brands such as Balenciaga and Gap inc have also ended their partnership - GAP inc is shutting down Yeezy.com and removing Yeezy GAP products from their shelves. Recently, West was escorted from Sketchers as he arrived unannounced and uninvited. New Zealand Radio stations such as ZM, The Hits, and Flava - owned by NZME - are taking action and removing his music from their playlists. The Edge, More FM, Mai FM, and The Breeze - who MediaWorks own - will play a “very limited” amount of his songs.

Taylors Swift's new album Midnights was released and has already broken three Spotify records: Most streamed album in 24 hours with 184.6 million streams, Most day-one streams of an album with 184.6 million streams and Most streamed act in 24 hours with 228 million streams. The UK reality TV show Love Island has had some exciting news but also a couple of breakups, here’s a breakdown of what’s happened…

Adam Collard and Paige Thorne from season eight have broken up. Thorne was featured on the Saving Grace podcast where she confirmed the breakup. Throne explained she saw the video of Collard cheating simultaneously with everyone else, but Collard denied his behaviour. However more videos surfaced and Hunny buns had to go.

The runner-up couple from season seven, Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows have broken up after being together for 13 months. Aromolaran posted a ‘muggy’ TikTok explaining “I don't need to Bereal, I need to besingle” this TikTok confirmed the rumours of the couple's break up.

Season five contestants Molly Mae and Tommy Fury revealed they’re pregnant with a baby girl at the end of September. Since this, Amy Hart from the same season has announced she's pregnant with her first baby.

Shaughna Phillips from season six announced she’s also pregnant, this news came as a shock for some fans as they didn't know she was in a relationship. However, Shaughna’s new partner doesn't want to be in the public eye, and let’s respect the couple's wishes.

If you like the Netflix show Sex Education, or Euphoria and Eshays bruhhh, Heartbreak High should be your next Aussie drama. The rebooted show takes place at Hartley High with Kiwi actress, Rachel House, as the school principal. The story follows a falling out between childhood best friends, Amerie and Harper. The pair attended a festival but lost each other after an argument, later at school the pair's secret sex map was discovered and forced everyone on the map to attend an extra sex ed class. However, Amerie took the blame for this artwork as Harper mysteriously unfriended her. So many standout performances over season one, Amerie played by Ayesha A. Madon, Thomas Weatherall played Malakai and Chloe Hayden as Quinni. But our favourite character is Cash (honourable mention to his grandmother) played by Will Mcdonald. He plays the most loveable Eshay who unfortunately falls in with the wrong crowd, but it’s his complicated romance with Darren, James Majoos, that melts our hearts. Unfortunately, one actor couldn’t match. Josh Heuston (Dusty) is a very beautiful man although his acting could be better. However, his surfer hair and ocean eyes pull a blanket over our eyes to make us ignore his red flags just like Dusty’s character. The series has been renewed for a second season and we couldn't be happier as we need to find out what happens to our Eshay - oop! spoiler if you haven’t seen it, sorry.

Tip Top is discontinuing 2-litre tubs of Cookies and Cream, plus Goodie Goodie Gumdrop ice cream due to the production price of these two flavours. Tip Top prides itself on using fresh ingredients such as milk and cream, however, it can't meet the significant price pressure and they don't want to jeopardise the quality of the ice cream. Tip Top explains they are looking for options to bring these flavours back into our supermarkets, but in the meantime, they will be available at scoop shops.
Disappointed fans were seen walking away from Six60's concert at Wellington’s sky stadium on TikTok. The concert was postponed at 5:30 due to dangerous wind conditions, however, the show was rescheduled the following day but fans were warned about limited transport as this event was taking place on a Sunday.

Gisborne may only be known for R&V but if you haven’t been, you haven’t lived. The atmosphere on the ‘I love you bro hill’ at 12:01 am January 1st, is an indescribable feeling of inclusivity and Kiwiana.
